How booking a table actually works

The Golden Fork BistroSeptember 2, 2026 1 views 1 min read

Pick a time and a headcount, we confirm and hold it, and if plans change a message is enough.

Booking a table here takes about thirty seconds, and it is worth knowing what happens on our side.

You pick a date, a time and how many people are coming. Tell us if it is a birthday or if anyone has dietary needs — both change how we set the table, and the second one changes what the kitchen preps.

We confirm and hold the table. On a quiet day it is yours for as long as you want it. When we are busy we plan around a couple of hours per booking, and if a table is needed after you we will say so when you arrive rather than hovering at the end of your meal.

Plans change, and that is fine. Running late, numbers up or down, cancelling altogether — one message is enough, and the earlier it reaches us the more likely we can give the table to someone else rather than leaving it empty. Walk-ins are always welcome too; we will seat you if we have the space.
