Get started
1Connect your ad account
Go to Meta Ads → Connect Account and press Connect with Facebook. Pick the ad account to use. How many ad accounts you can connect depends on your plan.
2Create a campaign
Go to Campaigns → New Campaign. Choose a goal (More Bookings, More Sales, More Leads or Brand Awareness), a daily budget and dates. Pick an audience: broad AI targeting, a custom audience or a lookalike of your contacts. Add an image, video, carousel or text-only ad. You can turn on Click-to-WhatsApp so people who tap the ad start a chat with you.
3Set your limits
Go to Meta Ads → Settings. Set your targets (lowest ROAS, highest cost per lead) and a maximum daily budget. Choose how you get alerts: WhatsApp or email.
4Switch on Autopilot
When Autopilot is on, it checks your active campaigns every 30 minutes, using the last 7 days of results. It never goes past the budget cap you set. Every change it makes is listed under Autopilot Activity, and many can be undone from the campaign page.
What Autopilot can do
Pause weak campaigns
Pauses a campaign whose ROAS or cost per lead misses your targets. On by default, and never during Meta's learning phase.
Grow winners
Raises the daily budget of a strong campaign by 20%, up to your cap. Off until you switch it on.
Warn about tired ads
Alerts you when an ad is shown too often or gets too few clicks. Replacing the ad is up to you.
Add lookalikes
Can attach a ready lookalike audience when you launch a campaign.
Rules
On Meta Ads → Rules, create a rule such as "if ROAS is below 1". A rule can notify you, or it can pause a campaign, raise its budget or lower its budget.
A rule that pauses a campaign or changes a budget does not act on its own. It waits for your approval first.
