Installation Guide
Download the Plugin
- Log in to your BeeCastly dashboard at beecastly.com
- Go to Settings → Integrations → WordPress (also available on AI Content → Settings and the E-Commerce page)
- Click the 'Download Plugin' button in the BeeCastly WordPress Plugin card
- You'll get beecastly.zip — keep it handy for the next step
Install & Activate
- In your WordPress admin, go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin
- Choose the downloaded beecastly.zip file and click 'Install Now'
- Click 'Activate Plugin' after installation completes
- You'll see a new 'BeeCastly' menu item in your WordPress sidebar with a bee icon
Connect to BeeCastly
- Method 1 (Recommended): Click 'Connect to BeeCastly' button — this uses OAuth for one-click setup
- Method 2 (Manual): Go to your BeeCastly dashboard → Settings → API Keys, copy your API key
- Paste the API key into the BeeCastly plugin Settings → Connection tab
- Click 'Test Connection' to verify everything works
Configure Features
- Blog Import: Enable auto-sync to pull posts from BeeCastly to WordPress
- Chatbot: Enter your Bot ID and choose widget position/color
- Forms: Use shortcode [beecastly_form id="your-form-id"] on any page
- WooCommerce: Enable customer sync, order sync, abandoned cart, and OTP options
- Booking: Enable booking widget and set color/position preferences
- SMTP Relay: Turn on API mode to route wp_mail() through BeeCastly — no SMTP credentials needed
- Diagnostics: Check connection status and the activity log if anything looks wrong
Keeping It Updated
- From v4.2.0 the plugin appears in WordPress's own update flow
- New versions show up under Plugins and Dashboard → Updates, same as any other plugin
- Click 'Update now' — or enable auto-updates to get security fixes automatically
- Sites still on v4.1.6 or older have no update channel: download the zip again and re-upload once to reach 4.2.0

Every shortcode below works whether or not the matching floating widget is switched on. Attribute names are exactly as the plugin registers them.

Activate Pro: In your WordPress admin, go to BeeCastly → Settings → License / Pro tab, and enter your license key. Get your license key from BeeCastly Settings → License Keys.
Troubleshooting
Connection test fails
Ensure your BeeCastly API URL is set to https://beecastly.com and your API key is correct. Check that your server can make outgoing HTTPS requests.
OAuth "Connect to BeeCastly" shows error
Make sure you're logged into beecastly.com first. If you see a 404, clear your browser cache and try again.
WooCommerce features not showing
WooCommerce must be installed and activated. The BeeCastly plugin only loads WooCommerce features when WC is detected.
Chatbot not appearing
Go to BeeCastly → Chatbot in WordPress admin. Make sure "Enable Chatbot" is checked and a valid Bot ID is entered.
